Duration
4 days consisting of:-
(a) 3 days Face-to-Face for units BSBOHS301A, 302A, 303A, 304A, 305A, 306A and BSBOHS307A plus 1 day Face-to-Face for units BSBCMN302A, 304A, 305A and BSBFLM303B
PLUS (b) course work and assessment activities required for demonstrating competency of the above
PLUS (c) completion of *MNMG237A and/or **PMAPER205B and/or PMAPER200C (other units may satisfy)
Who Should Attend?
This course is aimed at people who work, or wish to work, as Supervisors or Safety Representatives at a workplace. Workers with these qualifications would include Supervisors and Safety Representatives as they are required to understand the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Legislation. The course also intends to satisfy most of the requirements for the Foreman/Supervisor as indicated in the "Construction Safety Competency Framework".
Entry Requirements
There are no restrictions on entry to this course, however, participants are required to have sufficient numeracy and literacy skills to read and comprehend instruction for:
- Referencing and understanding legislation, standards and codes of practice
- Consulting with workers and employers on safety issues
Participants will also need access to a workplace to enable completion of learning and assessment activities.

2 units from anywhere within BSB01 or any other National Training Package. The college offers units from (*) Certificate II in Metalliferous Mining Operations (Processing) and (**) PMA02 Chemicals, Hydrocarbons and Oil Refining (as stated above).
Assessment and Award
Participants who demonstrate competency by passing both the theory and practical assessment (for all units as stated above) will receive a 'Certificate III in Occupational Health and Safety - BSB31606' issued by the ACH&S.
Participants who complete individual units will receive a 'Statement of Attainment' for those units. Those participants who attend the course but do not complete course work and assessments will receive a Statement of Attendance.
