Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for every worker in a workplace. The Queensland Building Fire Safety Regulation (2008) Section 36 states:

  • Instructions must be given within a month of the day on which the person starts working in the building, and
  • Afterwards must be repeated at intervals of not more than 2 years while the person is working in the building

Purpose

This purpose of this course is to provide initial basic training for the evacuation of a building in an emergency and how to select and use an appropriate fire extinguisher.

Assessment and Award

Participants who demonstrate competency by passing both theory and practical assessments will receive a Statement of Attainment - 'PUAWER008B - Confine small workplace emergencies' issued by ACHS
